Scholarships


BrownGirl, RDH is a 501. (c ) 3 nonprofit organization this awards scholarships removing cultural and economic barriers to joining the dental hygiene workforce, to establish and promote pathways to dental hygiene careers.

We are proud to be the only organization that offers mentoring and supplemental support to any dental hygiene student in need. Each year BrownGirl, RDH provides scholarships to deserving students, that cover the unexpected costs of dental hygiene school including but not limited to tuition and books. Our scholarships are open throughout the year and paid directly to dental hygiene school or vendors. We are non-profit organization and all awards are based on funding and donations available.

FAQ'S

  • Any one is eligible to apply for BrownGirl, RDH scholarships
  • Scholarships are need / income based.
  • Apply on a computer, do NOT use your cell phone
  • You must be registered as student member to access our scholarships
  • You must be a "Student" or "Professional" member to apply
  • There is no deadline to apply unless specified 
  • 3.0 GPA minimum 
  • You may not change your award once selected
  • Awards are paid directly to the school or vendor funds will not go to the awardee
  • You must be accepted or enrolled in a dental hygiene program
  • You must be a member before you apply for any scholarship Join
  • You must answer all fields before submitting
  • If you are currently a student member you must edit your profile and change membership level to “ scholarship” 
  • The most recent year 1040 tax return must be uploaded
  • Awards are not monetary unless specified 
  • Student must accept award terms via email within 30 days 
  • Unofficial transcripts are accepted 
  • Questions  should be emailed to bgrdhscholarships@gmail.com
  • *Any incomplete application will be rejected. All inquiries and submissions are processed through our scholarship committee.  Student Membership fees are non-refundable. 

How to Apply for Scholarships:

1. After joining as a member and paying required fees, return to the "Scholarships" page. The bottom of the page should read "You are already a member". Click edit your member profile.

2. Go to the 2nd section "Membership Level" and click change

3. Select scholarship application

4. Complete your member profile by answering the application questions

5. Be sure to answer all required information and upload the required documents

6. Select the scholarships that you are interested in applying for

7. Once information is complete, click update and next

8. Review  and then click confirm
